Discuss Ethics and Etiquette

Ethics- moral principles, as of an individual

Etiquette- conventional requirements as to social behavior; proprieties of conduct as established in any class or community or for any occasion.

Ethics- moral

Etiquette- Decorum

Examples;   Etiquette- pull the girls seat back to let her sit, eating without your ASHY ASS  elbows on the table, using the napkin to cover your 100$ and up  jeans or "slacks for you classy cats", using each eating utensil for the meal it was designed for. Chewing with your mouth closed. The PROBLEM with Etiquette is it changes culturally

Ethics-

  • Tell the truth
  • Have courage
  • Do not have sex before marriage
  • Keep your promises
  • Do not cheat
  • Treat others as you want to be treated
  • Be trustworthy
  • Do not judge
  • Respect others

  • The PROBLEM with Ethics is that it changes from person to person

Like in Death of a salesman that family does so many UN-ethical things

(Biff) The son- Rough with girls, he's stealing things, flunking math, and even driving without a license.

(Happy) the younger son- habitual liar, really dumb

Willy Loman- Having an affair, Trying to kill himself, borrowing money and can't pay it back, won't take a job from his childhood friend though he is broke.

Linda Loman- Knows her husband is trying to kill himself but won't confront him, family struggling and she never said a word about getting a job herself,
